This morning while surfing the web I stumbled
across a quote from a favorite author of mine, Maya Angelou. She said, "Do
the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do
better." This quote made we want to share a couple of books with
you.
The first book I'd like to share is "I Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey
Now", by Maya Angelou. In this book she shares many thoughts that blessed
me. This is one of my favorites, “Living well is an art that can be developed:
a love of life and ability to take great pleasure from small offerings and
assurance that the world owes you nothing and that every gift is exactly that,
a gift.” This book is a quick read, but full of so many wonderful words.
The second book I'd like to share is "Tuesdays with Morrie", by Mitch
Albom. Don't pass up reading this beautiful story. It blessed me with every
page I turned. It's one of those books you pick up and don't put down until
it's done.....and when it's done you put it down feeling so captivated by the
story he shared. These words rang true for me as I read this beautiful book, “So
many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even
when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because
they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to
devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you,
and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”
So profound and so touching!!
I hope you take the time to read both of these books. And I hope they bless you
as much as they have blessed me.
Happy
reading,
Richelle
